When is the best time to travel the Sunday after Thanksgiving?
We are heading to Disney World the Sunday after Thanksgiving from the Charlotte NC area. If we would like to be in Kissimmee by at least 6pm on Sunday, when would be the best time to leave to avoid traffic? The earliest we can leave is midnight Saturday evening. Other - Destinations - 2 Answers

About does anyone know of any daily transportation from Charlotte to Raleigh

Does anyone know of any daily transportation from Charlotte to Raleigh?
I am trying to return to the Charlotte area and take a job with my company in Raleigh. Unfortunately, I don't enjoy driving and so I am not interested in driving everyday. I am hoping to find some shuttle or express serviced that travels daily between the two. I have looked at Amtrak and they are rather costly. Thanks! Other - United States - 2 Answers

No. The south is not very popular in public transportation. Btw that is an incredibly long commute. 3 hours, one way, every day. You'd spend nearly as long traveling to and from work as you would at work.

Live in Charlotte and work in Raleigh? Bad idea, plain and simple. They are 3+ hours apart, and that's even if you're driving over the speed limit. And no, there's really nothing connecting the two cities other than Amtrak. Maybe Greyhound, but they are even slower.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Center City in Charlotte a few weeks ago and it's very nice. This hotel within walking distance to many restaurants and Bobcat's arena is practically next door. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was great and they have a very nice bar also. For breakfast we walked next door to Merts and had a wonderful meal. The evening of our stay we walked the short distance to Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery and tried a few of the beers made there. We didn't eat there but it looked great. Many hotels are nestled close together in the center of downtown with the Westin being more on the outer edge of central Charlotte. So, if you want to be closer to places to eat or shop, the central part of town is best for that. Any of those hotels would be great I would expect, but my most recent experience has been with the Holiday Inn Center City. try booking from an International Airport - like Atlanta or Washington Dulles then see what you flight round trip from Charlotte to there would be - around it - - the problem is - Charlotte is a REGIONAL airport and one pays through the NOSE to get a flight in and out hope this helps -- - all the best

The closest and cheapest beach to Charlotte, NC?
I live in Charlotte, NC, planning for a 2-3 days vacation. I am looking for the closest and the cheapest beach around here (NC, SC or VA), can anyone help to find out more about them and how to get the best prices? My weekly schedule is flexible and I can travel during the week days, I guess it would be cheaper during that time, right? One more thing, are hotels next to the beaches more expensive? I live about an hour north of Charlotte and it takes us between 4 and 5 hours to drive to North Myrtle. I think the SC beaches are closer than the NC ones, but the NC beaches (Ocean Isle, Sunset, Holden) are probably less expensive. The Wilmington area is nice, but since I've never been there I can't give you much info. The Outer Banks are nice too, but not as close to Charlotte. You can save money by staying across from Ocean Drive, not on oceanfront. If you go to some of the beaches in North Myrtle, or in NC, you can rent a house a few blocks from the ocean and the walk isn't so bad. Most houses and condos rent by the week in peak season. You just have to find a public walkway for beach access. You don't say how many are going, but you can probably find a good deal on a one bedroom condo or even on a motel room in an oceanfront building but without an ocean view, or just a side view. If you are really flexible you can find better deals if you wait till after Labor Day to go. The weather is still warm and rates go down. she was like the others with the nose bleed -- she had no constant to cling to. remember desmond is daniels constant and penny is desmond. i think that's why he had the others find the hatch "something man made". that wasn't anything for charlotte

If you remember the character of George Minkowski (played by Fisher Stevens) who was on the boat with Michael and Desmond, nose bleeds are a bad sign. Remember George was in the sick bay and started having nose bleeds and strange flashes...he then had convulsions and died in Desmond's arms. It is something about the effects of time travel. Desmond got really sick with it but he had his constant, Penny.

If it's a lexus suv, it would take more than a smaller lexus car...

You really need to know how many miles per gallon your car gets to figure it out. Find out the mileage between the two places, divide by your miles per gallon and that should give you an estimate of the gallons of gas you'll need. Gas in Houston is about $3.00 for regular.

This summer my parents are planning to send me to Bosnia alone for a month as most of my family is over there. We are just unsure if I can travel alone internationally. I'm a bit younger. And I'm aloud to travel alone on international flight. Maybe go with a flight attendant. They'll guide you on the plane, and to your next flight. It might cost a bit more though. Otherwise maybe try checking with the airlines because some let you and some don't unless your over 18 years old.

You should be able to travel alone on an international flight you would just have to travel as an unaccompanied minor. You would be looked after by people while you are at your stop overs. Just let the airline your are traveling with your age and they will do the rest and make sure that your are looked after.

im from bosnia as well and ur parent are really linient i wouldnt do it its really scary ! you are looking over a 24 hour flight in total.... and in europe its scary!

I strongly doubt there's a train, and if there is it would be a lot more expensive. Your best bet is Greyhound bus. www.greyhound.com

Yes you can as long as you have a few things, ONE, some form of photo ID, doesn't matter whether it is school ID or your permit. TWO you MUST have your birth certificate. THREE they might ask for proof of someone picking you up, all you need to do is call them and they will accept a yes on the phone. FOUR you must book a flight ahead of times because Charlotte airport gets really packed and all the tickets get bought so fast. So for your ticket I would get any seat, if it's more then a 3 hours flight you might want to look into a first class seat because those seats are more comfortable and you'll be VERY sore in a regular seat. If it's not I would buy and Isle seat so you aren't all squished up or anything but if they are or charging that much, just buy a window seat. Hoped this helped...Best of luck.

I'm pretty sure you can travel alone at 16, unless you want to be accompanied by someone. First of all, where are you coming from?

Yes you can. You should have to be stopes off by a adult in the air port. And it's cool because you get to go first then everyone because your a minor. I love charlotte. I just went there two weeks ago. !!
